CAMPAIGN INFORMATION

Kevin McNatt has proudly called Autauga County home since 2002. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, Kevin and his wife Heather (Pettus) McNatt—originally from Pine Level—are active members of Journey Church of the River Region in Prattville. Deeply rooted in faith, family, and community, Kevin is committed to serving and protecting the people of Autauga County with integrity, transparency, and accountability.

With over 22 years of law enforcement experience across local and state levels, Kevin McNatt brings unmatched knowledge, leadership, and a proven record of service to the race for Sheriff. His journey began as a Reserve Officer with the Autaugaville Police Department. Driven by a strong calling to serve, Kevin personally funded his training at the APOST Law Enforcement Academy in Tuscaloosa, graduating in 2003 with the prestigious Award of Excellence and Top Gun Award.

Kevin was the first full-time School Resource Officer at Autaugaville School and he later joined the Autauga County Sheriff's Office, where he rose through the ranks and served in multiple critical roles. His assignments included Patrol Deputy, Narcotics Sergeant, Special Operations (SWAT) Officer, and A-Shift Night Patrol Lieutenant. As the Sheriff’s Office instructor, he led the countywide "Run, Hide, Fight" active shooter training initiative, equipping schools, businesses, and community groups with lifesaving knowledge and skills.

Recognized for his investigative insight, Kevin was recruited by the State of Alabama’s Law Enforcement Services Division within the Department of Corrections. As a Correctional Investigative Agent, he investigated serious crimes including, homicides, drug trafficking, sexual assaults, and financial crimes. He advanced to the role of Senior Agent and was selected to serve on a federal task force with the U.S. Department of Justice and FBI, targeting public corruption and civil rights violations. Kevin later became the Training Coordinator for the agency and served as an adjunct instructor at three regional police academies, specializing in firearms and active shooter response. He most recently served as Supervisory Agent for Alabama’s Central Region.

A strong constitutionalist and lifelong supporter of the Second Amendment, Kevin is a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and Gun Owners of America (GOA). He holds a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and is a Certified Firearms Instructor and Range Safety Officer in pistol, rifle, and shotgun disciplines.
